.... A couple things to share... A few of my kids were having trouble with squeaky fingers, especially when they were trying to move large objects so I am having them use one of those xylophone thingys (that's my technical term). You know, the stick with the felt on the end usually used to make music with on a xylophone. It works great for squeaky fingers and even better for the vertically challenged. Also a very cool website that I found was Jigs@w Puzzle. It allows you to upload a photo from your own pictures and then turn it into a puzzle with your choice of pieces. I used it at the start of my Portrait unit with this photo of Van Gogh. The kids had lots of fun with it!

Tip for the squeaky fingers - Have the students flip their finger over and use their fingernail to move things...it's much easier!
